Use Perfect Parry against Sonic Booms to gain Drive Gauge and close the distance safely without taking chip damage.
- 0
Charge Denjin whenever you have a knockdown to make your fireballs more threatening and capable of winning trades against Guile.
- 0
Use Hashogeki to neutralize Sonic Booms while moving forward, which helps you gain ground without jumping.
- 0
Wait for Guile to commit to a Sonic Boom before jumping; if you jump too early, you will be caught by a Flash Kick.
- 0
Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku can travel over low-flying projectiles, but use it sparingly as it is highly punishable if Guile recovers in time.
- 0
Apply pressure with crouching medium kick into Drive Rush to catch Guile while he is holding back to charge his specials.
- 0
If Guile relies heavily on Sonic Blade, use a well-timed Drive Impact to blow through the setup and land a heavy punish.
- 0
Once inside Guile's preferred range, use throws and overheads to break his guard, as Guile players often focus heavily on blocking low.
