Maintain a steady stream of Sonic Booms to force Ryu to use his Drive Gauge for parries or to risk jumping.
- 0
Be cautious of Ryu's Denjin-charged Hadoken, as it hits twice and can beat out a single Sonic Boom in a projectile trade.
- 0
Use Sonic Blade to create a stationary barrier that disrupts Ryu's timing and makes it harder for him to use Hashogeki to clear projectiles.
- 0
Keep a Flash Kick ready at all times to punish Ryu's Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku if he tries to use it to fly over your Sonic Booms.
- 0
Utilize Guile's long-reaching normals like standing heavy kick to poke Ryu if he tries to walk forward and close the distance.
- 0
Watch for Ryu's Drive Rush attempts; a well-timed crouching medium punch or Sonic Boom can stop his momentum before he starts his pressure.
- 0
If Ryu successfully closes in, use Guile's back throw to reset the neutral and put him back at the ideal distance for your fireball game.
- 0
Save your Level 3 Super Art to punish Ryu's Shoryuken or a poorly timed Hadoken from mid-range.
