Use Hadoken to force Ed to commit to a jump or a forward Kill Rush, both of which are susceptible to a well-timed Shoryuken.

Ed's Psycho Flicker has significant recovery if it whiffs; look to punish him with a Drive Rush into a medium punch if he misses at mid-range.
- 0
Drive Impact is a strong tool against Ed's Psycho Flicker if he becomes predictable with the timing, as the move often hits multiple times but lacks armor-breaking properties.
- 0
Utilize Denjin-charged Hadokens to overpower Ed's Psycho Shoot, as the increased speed and hit count will win the trade.
- 0
Check Ed's forward Kill Rush with a fast standing light punch to stop his momentum and prevent him from starting his close-range pressure.
- 0
Keep Ed trapped in the corner using your solid pokes like standing medium kick, as Ed lacks a traditional invincible reversal outside of his OD Psycho Upper.
- 0
Use OD Shoryuken to blow through Ed's multi-hit Flicker pressure if he attempts to stay aggressive at the edge of his range.
- 0
Be cautious with your heavy buttons in neutral, as Ed's long-range pokes are designed to catch limbs and can lead to full combos if you are countered.
