Use Adamant Flame to destroy JP's projectiles while moving forward, allowing you to close the gap without relying solely on jumping.
- 0
Vary your Demon Flip follow-ups to bypass JP's ground traps and force him to guess between an overhead, a divekick, or a command grab.
- 0
Be extremely patient with parries against JP's long-range ghosts to preserve your Drive Gauge, as falling into Burnout makes his zoning much harder to escape.
- 0
When pressuring JP on his knockdown, use shimmy movements or delayed buttons to bait out OD Amnesia for a full punish combo.
- 0
Utilize Ashura Senku to reposition or escape the corner if JP has set up Departure portals that limit your standard movement.
- 0
Counter-zone with Gou Hadoken sparingly; while it can cancel out JP's projectiles, he can punish the recovery with his command grab or Triglav.
- 0
Stay alert for JP trying to jump out of your pressure and use Gou Shoryuken to keep him pinned in the corner where his defense is weakest.
- 0
Look for opportunities to use Raging Demon if JP commits to a slow projectile at mid-range, as the invincibility can travel through his zoning.
