Use Gou Hadoken to control the horizontal space and force Zangief to take risks like jumping or using Drive Impact.
- 0
Be cautious with Zanku Hadoken in the air, as Zangief can use Lariat to clear the projectile and hit you simultaneously.
- 0
Maintain a range where your standing Heavy Punch can punish Zangief's whiffed normals while remaining safe from his Screw Pile Driver.
- 0
Use Demon Flip options primarily to bait Zangief's anti-air attempts rather than as a predictable entry tool.
- 0
Apply pressure with Adamant Flame only when you have a significant advantage, as Zangief can punish the recovery with a command grab if he blocks it.
- 0
Utilize Ashura Senku to escape the corner if Zangief pins you, but be wary of him chasing you down with Drive Rush.
- 0
Focus on depleting Zangief's Drive Gauge with fireballs to force a Burnout, making your pressure significantly safer.
- 0
Avoid jumping forward predictably, as Zangief's aerial command grabs can end your offensive momentum instantly.
