Be cautious with Gou Hadoken at mid-range, as Ed can use Psycho Flicker to hit Akuma's extended hurtbox or Psycho Shoot to trade favorably.
- 0
Use Hyakki Shu (Demon Flip) carefully, as Ed's Psycho Upper is a reliable anti-air that can shut down air approaches effectively.
- 0
Akuma's standing heavy kick is an excellent tool for punishing Ed's whiffed long-range pokes or mistimed flickers.
- 0
When Ed uses Psycho Spark, be ready to parry the subsequent Psycho Shoot to preserve your Drive Gauge and close the distance.
- 0
In the corner, use Adamant Flame to pressure Ed, but stay alert for his OD Psycho Upper reversal which can turn the tide quickly.
- 0
Zanku Hadoken can disrupt Ed's ground-based zoning, but avoid being predictable as Ed can slide under the fireball with certain tools.
- 0
Manage your Drive Gauge carefully; Ed's corner carry is strong, and Akuma's low health makes being burnt out against Ed extremely dangerous.
- 0
Use Ashura Senku to escape Ed's corner pressure, but be mindful that Ed can chase you down with his Kill Switch mobility.
