Use Gou Hadoken to control the ground, but vary the timing to prevent Honda from timing a Sumo Headbutt to armor through the projectile.
- 0
Zanku Hadoken is vital for changing your aerial trajectory, which can bait Honda into committing to a Sumo Headbutt or Sumo Dash anti-air.
- 0
Time your Goshoryuken carefully against Sumo Smash; you must wait for the descent to ensure you hit Honda before the move crosses you up.
- 0
Maintain a mid-range distance where you can react to a blocked Sumo Headbutt with a standing heavy punch to start a punish counter combo.
- 0
Use Ashura Senku to escape the corner if Honda attempts to loop Oicho Throw setups, as his mobility makes it difficult for him to chase the teleport quickly.
- 0
Adamant Flame can be used to check Honda's forward movement, but be wary of his armor moves absorbing the hit.
- 0
Demon Flip options should be used sparingly, as Honda's standing light punch or Headbutt can easily swat Akuma out of the air.
- 0
Since Akuma has lower health, prioritize Drive Parry against Honda's heavy hits to avoid excessive chip damage and Drive Gauge depletion.
