Use Drive Parry frequently while approaching to mitigate JP's projectile chip and gain Drive Gauge back from his long-range attacks.
- 0
Heavy Dragonlash Kick can bypass some of JP's low projectiles and close the distance instantly if he is focused on ground zoning.
- 0
Once in close range, use Jinrai Kick follow-ups to keep JP guessing and prevent him from safely setting up Departure portals.
- 0
Be extremely cautious with your pressure and look for JP's OD Amnesia; if you expect it, wait and punish him heavily for a high-damage conversion.
- 0
Ken’s Quick Step can be used to duck under certain high projectiles or quickly close the gap after a knockdown to maintain pressure.
- 0
Use Shoryuken as a reliable anti-air if JP tries to escape the corner by jumping over you, as he lacks traditional mobility to get out otherwise.
- 0
Target JP's Drive Gauge with aggressive combos, as a burnt-out JP has significantly fewer defensive options against your high-low mixups.
- 0
Your standing medium kick is an excellent tool in neutral to poke JP and check his movement without overcommitting to a risky jump-in.
