Use Sumo Smash to leap over Ed's Psycho Shoot projectiles, as Ed's recovery on his fireball can be slow enough to guarantee a hit.
- 0
Be cautious with Sumo Headbutt from a distance, as Ed's long-reaching standing punches can effectively stuff the startup.
- 0
When Ed uses Psycho Spark to charge his projectile, use the delay to close the gap with a Drive Rush or a well-timed Sumo Smash.
- 0
Utilize Hundred Hand Slap to chip away at Ed's Drive Gauge, forcing him to use his invincible Psycho Upper which you can then bait and punish.

If Ed attempts to use Psycho Knuckle, you can often armor through the hit with an OD Sumo Headbutt to take back the momentum.
- 0
Watch for Ed's Psycho Blitz in combos; if he leaves a gap, your Standing Heavy Punch is an excellent tool to interrupt his pressure.
- 0
Apply Oicho Throw frequently once you have Ed cornered, as his back-dash and jump escapes are vulnerable to Honda's massive reach.
- 0
Parry Ed's multi-hit Psycho Cannon Super Art to build your own Drive Gauge back while negating the chip damage and pushback.
