Drive Rush into a command grab or a light punch string is an effective way to punish Ryu if he becomes predictable with his fireball timing.
- 0
When Ryu is on wakeup, mix up your command grabs with a block or shimmy to bait out and punish his Shoryuken.
- 0
Use Siberian Express to catch Ryu off guard if he is focusing too much on ground pokes, but ensure you have enough distance to trigger the armor.
- 0
Keep Ryu pinned against the corner where his movement is restricted, making it easier to land your high-damage throws.

Watch for Ryu's Denjin Charge; when he has it active, be more conservative with armor moves as his fireballs will hit multiple times.
