Use standing Heavy Kick to poke Alex out of his Slash Elbow startup, as your reach allows you to hit him before his armor or active hits become a threat.
- 0
Rond-point is a reliable anti-air against Alex's jumping attacks, particularly his downward Heavy Punch which he uses to start high-pressure sequences.
- 0
Focus on landing Renversé early in the round to build your medal count, which is necessary to compete with Alex's naturally high damage output.
- 0
Be careful with Drive Impact against Alex, as his Flash Chop recovers relatively quickly and he may be able to counter-impact you.
- 0
Use Dégagé to occasionally go over Alex's low pokes, but ensure you space it correctly to avoid being punished by a Power Bomb on block.
- 0
Manège Doré outranges Alex's Power Bomb at higher medal levels; use this advantage to win the command grab standoff when both of you are in close quarters.
- 0
Drive Parry is useful for neutralizing Alex's Slash Elbow, as it prevents him from gaining the positional advantage he needs to start his strike-throw mixup.

If Alex blocks a Flash Chop, be ready to back-dash or jump to avoid his Headbutt or DDT follow-ups, especially if he has you cornered.
