Apply Psycho Mine as early as possible to force Marisa to play more defensively, as the explosion can interrupt her armored Gladius charges.
- 0
Use Knee Press to close distance, but vary the timing and distance to bait out Marisa's Scutum stance or armored counters.
- 0
Be cautious with Shadow Rise and Head Press, as Marisa's standing heavy punch and Crushing Shoulder are effective anti-airs that lead to massive damage.
- 0
Utilize multi-hit moves or well-timed throws to bypass Marisa's armor when she attempts to power through your neutral pokes.
- 0
Use Psycho Crusher to push Marisa toward the corner, but be wary of her using Phalanx to leap over your approach.
- 0
Exploit Marisa's lack of a fast, invincible reversal by maintaining tight pressure after a knockdown, especially when she is low on Drive Gauge.
- 0
Maintain a mid-range distance where your standing heavy punch can poke her, staying just outside the reach of her Enfold command throw.
- 0
If Marisa activates Scutum, use a throw immediately to punish the stance, as it cannot block or armor through grab attempts.
