Use Psycho Spark and Psycho Shoot to contest Mai's Kachosen, preventing her from establishing a rhythm with her fans.
- 0
Be ready with Psycho Upper or a heavy Psycho Flicker to anti-air Mai if she attempts to use her wall jump or high jumps to bypass your ground game.
- 0
Avoid over-committing to charged Psycho Flickers in neutral, as Mai's fast movement and divekicks can punish the recovery easily.
- 0
Use standing heavy punch as a primary check for Mai's forward dashes, but be careful not to whiff it against her back-dashes.
- 0
When Mai uses her divekick, consider using Perfect Parry rather than a standard anti-air to mitigate the tricky timing of her descent.
- 0
Utilize Kill Switch Chaser to close the distance after landing a flicker poke, as Mai excels at maintaining a distance that is uncomfortable for Ed.
- 0
If Mai is cornered, use Psycho Spark to maintain pressure from a safe distance, forcing her to take risks to escape.
- 0
Save Drive Gauge for Drive Reversals if Mai begins her high-speed pressure strings, as Ed can struggle to find an opening once she is close.
