Use Air Slasher to contest Ryu's Hadoken, but be wary of his Heavy Hashogeki which can absorb projectiles and counter-attack.
- 0
The Jus Cool sway is excellent for dodging Ryu's mid-range pokes like standing Heavy Punch, allowing for a quick punish.
- 0
Bait Ryu's Shoryuken by using Jus Cool feints during pressure sequences to make him commit to an unsafe reversal.
- 0
Use Jackknife Maximum to punish Ryu's jump-ins, as his jumping Heavy Punch has a wide hitbox that requires reliable anti-air timing.
- 0
Drive Rush behind a light Air Slasher to force Ryu into a guessing game between a throw, a strike, or a shimmy.
- 0
Watch for Ryu's Denjin Charge; when active, his fireballs become much faster and harder to react to with Jus Cool.
- 0
Dee Jay's Knee Drop can alter his jump arc, making it difficult for Ryu to time his anti-air Shoryuken or standing Heavy Kick correctly.
- 0
In neutral, use standing Medium Punch to check Ryu's Drive Rush attempts, as it has great reach and recovers quickly.
