Use Coward Crouch to slide under Ryu's Hadokens, which allows you to close the distance without committing to a risky jump.
- 0
Be cautious with horizontal Rolling Attacks from a distance, as Ryu can easily react with Shoryuken or a well-timed Super Art.
- 0
Utilize Vertical Rolling Attack to punish Ryu's attempts to jump over your ground pressure or to catch him during forward jumps.
- 0
Set up Blanka-chan dolls after a knockdown to force Ryu into defensive situations where his Shoryuken becomes a high-risk gamble.
- 0
Use Electric Thunder to check Ryu's Drive Rush attempts, as the multi-hit property is excellent for stopping his forward momentum.
- 0
Surprise Forward can be used to quickly bypass Ryu's mid-range pokes, but be careful not to use it if he is buffering standing light punches.
- 0
Aerial Rolling Attack can be used to bait Ryu's anti-air attempts by changing your trajectory mid-air, potentially leading to a punish.
- 0
In the neutral game, use crouching medium punch to poke at Ryu's feet, as it can often outreach his shorter standing light buttons.
