Tips
No frame data on this page: there is no openly licensed Street Fighter 6 frame data we can reuse, so these AI-written tips describe the game plan without frame numbers. Check frame data in game (Training Mode frame meter) before relying on a specific punish.
- 0
Use Gladius cautiously, as Zangief can punish the armor frames with a command grab or a well-timed Super.
- 0
Maintain distance with standing Heavy Punch and Medium Kick to poke Zangief without entering his command grab range.
- 0
Avoid over-relying on Scutum, as Zangief's command grabs will bypass the counter stance entirely.
- 0
Use Phalanx to bypass Zangief's low pokes, but be wary of his Lariat which can swat you out of the air.
- 0
Charged Heavy Punch is a powerful tool for pressure, but Zangief can use Drive Parry to mitigate the pushback and stay close.
- 0
Keep an eye on Zangief's Drive Gauge; if he burns out, your heavy pressure becomes much harder for him to escape without a reversal.
- 0
Use Enlil to create space and reset the neutral if Zangief starts to crowd your personal space.
- 0
Anti-air consistently with crouching Heavy Punch to prevent Zangief from starting his pressure with jumping attacks.
