Use Standing Heavy Punch to poke Zangief from a distance where his command grabs cannot reach you.
- 0
Apply Psycho Mines using the Backfist Combo to force Zangief to play defensively and respect your pressure.
- 0
Be cautious with Shadow Rise and Devil Reverse, as Zangief's Lariat is a highly effective anti-air tool against these moves.
- 0
Use Psycho Crusher primarily as a combo ender rather than a neutral tool to avoid being punished by Zangief's heavy grabs on block.
- 0
Utilize Drive Rush cancels from Standing Medium Punch to maintain pressure and keep Zangief guessing between strikes and throws.
- 0
When a Psycho Mine is active, use Knee Press to chip away at Zangief's Drive Gauge and force him to take risks.
- 0
Save your Super Art 1 or 3 for defensive situations, as Bison lacks a standard invincible reversal to escape Zangief's close-range pressure.
- 0
Watch for the Siberian Express running grab and use Bison's fast backdash or a neutral jump to avoid it and land a full punish.
