Prioritize planting a Psycho Mine early in the round to make Viper's aggressive feint-dashing and jumping much riskier for her.
- 0
Use Standing Heavy Punch to poke Viper out of her Seismic Hammer startup or to catch her during the recovery of a failed feint.
- 0
Punish Viper's predictable Burning Kick entries with Shadow Rise into a headpress or air-to-air normal to maintain air superiority.
- 0
Wait for Viper to commit to a Thunder Knuckle before using Drive Impact, as the startup of her heavy versions is often long enough to be counter-impacted.
- 0
Use Psycho Crusher to blow through Viper's ground-based zoning, but be careful not to use it if she has enough time to feint and block.
- 0
Keep Viper grounded by using Knee Press to occupy the mid-range space, making it difficult for her to safely initiate her Super Jump mix-ups.
- 0
If Viper is afflicted with a Psycho Mine, use your teleport or forward-moving specials to force a detonation and break her defensive rhythm.
- 0
Respect Viper's wake-up options, as her OD specials provide her with strong reversal potential that can halt your pressure if you are too aggressive.
