Use standing medium punch and heavy punch to harass Honda and discourage him from charging forward with Sumo Headbutt.
- 0
Use Windclad Condor Spire to close the gap and gain the advantage needed to land a Mexican Typhoon command grab.
- 0
A well-timed crouching heavy punch can often stuff Honda's Sumo Headbutt if you anticipate the timing of his charge.
- 0
Walk forward or use an invincible OD reversal to escape Honda’s Sumo Smash if he attempts to use it for a cross-up.
- 0
Stay at a distance where Honda's Hundred Hand Slap cannot reach, forcing him to take risks with unsafe moves to close the gap.
- 0
Focus on draining Honda's Drive Gauge with long-range pokes, as he becomes much less threatening without access to OD Sumo Headbutt.
- 0
Use your Level 2 Super to catch Honda during his Sumo Smash descent, as the vertical reach is excellent for intercepting him mid-air.
- 0
Be careful with Condor Dive, as Honda can easily punish a blocked or whiffed dive with a heavy Sumo Headbutt or Super Art.
