Use Whirlwind Kick to pass over Hadokens, but be cautious as Ryu can react with a Shoryuken if you are too predictable.

Deploy Spray Cans to force Ryu to block or move, creating windows to initiate your Sprint pressure while he is distracted.

Bait Ryu's standing heavy punch by shimmying at the edge of his range, then whiff punish with a crouching medium kick into a combo.
- 0
Be wary of using Hidden Variable (teleport) from full screen, as Ryu's projectiles recover fast enough for him to punish your arrival.
- 0
In the corner, use bomb setups to pressure Ryu, but stay alert for his OD Shoryuken which is his primary way to escape your mixups.
- 0
Use the Sprint feint to bait Ryu into committing to a Shoryuken or Drive Impact, then punish his recovery accordingly.

Ryu's Drive Impact is a common answer to your Sprint; be ready to counter-DI or use fast normals to break his armor.

Prioritize building your spray can stock during knockdowns to ensure you have the resources needed to overwhelm his traditional defense.
