Use Triglav frequently to catch Mai if she attempts to use her wall jump or high-arcing jumps to bypass your projectiles.
- 0
Torbalan is effective for checking Mai's ground movement, but be prepared to anti-air if she jumps over the low version.
- 0
Place Departure portals in the air to discourage Mai from using her dive kicks or Shiranui Ryu mobility to close the gap.

Stribog can be used to clear Mai's Kachosen fans while simultaneously pushing her back toward the corner.
