Vary the timing and speed of Sonic Booms to prevent Ed from timing his Kill Switch or Psycho Flicker to bypass them.
- 0
Use Sonic Blade to create a barrier that makes it difficult for Ed to use his long-range pokes without taking damage.
- 0
Watch for Ed's Psycho Flicker startup; if he charges it, you can often interrupt him with a fast Sonic Boom or a long-range normal.
- 0
Guile's crouching heavy punch is a reliable anti-air against Ed, especially since Ed lacks a fast divekick to change his air trajectory.
- 0
If Ed uses Psycho Spark, be prepared to Parry the follow-up Psycho Shot to preserve your Drive Gauge and stay in position.
- 0
Utilize standing heavy kick to punish Ed's standing heavy punch if he becomes predictable with his long-range pokes.
- 0
When Ed has Level 2 Super available, be more conservative with Sonic Booms to avoid being locked down by the slow-moving orb.
- 0
Keep a healthy Drive Gauge to ensure access to OD Flash Kick, which is vital for escaping Ed's high-pressure corner sequences.
