Use Seismic Hammer to contest Sonic Booms from a distance, as the ground wave can hit Guile while he is stationary and charging.
- 0
OD Thunder Knuckle is an essential tool for blowing through a single Sonic Boom to strike Guile during his recovery frames.
- 0
Utilize Super Jump cancels to alter your aerial trajectory, making it difficult for Guile to time his Flash Kick anti-air.
- 0
Perfect Parry is your best friend against Sonic Boom spam to gain ground without sacrificing Drive Gauge or taking chip damage.
- 0
Be cautious with Burning Kick approaches; if timed poorly, Guile can easily swat you out of the air with a crouching heavy punch or Flash Kick.
- 0
Once you score a knockdown, stay aggressive with command grab and overhead resets to prevent Guile from regaining his defensive charge.
- 0
Use Drive Impact sparingly against Sonic Booms, as Guile's fast recovery often allows him to counter-DI if you are not at point-blank range.
- 0
Manage your Drive Gauge carefully; Viper relies heavily on OD moves to bypass projectiles, and being in Burnout makes Guile's pressure nearly inescapable.
