Use Nightshade Pulse to create a barrier that discourages Honda from blindly using Sumo Headbutt to close the distance.

Perfect Parry is your best friend against Sumo Headbutt; it negates the pushback and allows you to start your poison pressure immediately.
- 0
Be ready with standing Heavy Punch or crouching Heavy Punch to anti-air Sumo Smash, as Honda will often try to bypass your projectiles from above.
- 0
Apply poison early and often; Honda's large health pool and high damage mean you need the extra chip damage to win the war of attrition.

Use Snake Step to slide under Sumo Headbutt if you anticipate it, allowing you to get behind him for a full punish.
- 0
Keep your distance with Orchid Blossom (whips) to poke at him, but be careful not to be too predictable or he will armor through with OD Headbutt.

If Honda uses Sumo Spirit to buff his hands, play more defensively and wait for the buff to expire or for him to commit to a punishable move.
- 0
Use your Level 2 Super as a reactive tool if Honda commits to a Sumo Smash from a distance, as it can catch him during his descent.
